The mask most girls wear

The mask most girls wear

A Poem by AllauraRose
"

I am guilty of this as well. I'm not saying I'm not, I'm just saying that this is a problem that I fall in to as well.

"
Makeup, the thing most girls buy
When we realize we aren't worthy enough
So we try to hide it behind a mask

A mountain some may say
A mountain we are able to move
But choose to let it stay

Spending countless dollars on a material thing
That takes away the most natural beauty

Some girls put on a full face
Attempting to cover up impurities
Only giving up their integrity

The girls that only wear some
Their confidence stronger than the ones above
Try to hide teenage punishment
Keeping their beauty uncontaminated

A brave few where little to none
Most can't say they are among those courageous ones

Makeup is just a mask, and some wear it for fun
It can tell you how they view themselves
Being confident with their self-image

I wish we didn't care what others say
But only did what we liked most
Bullying is a major problem today
So being yourself is no longer good enough

You must be molded by fellow classmates
To fit their expectations
No matter how hard you try, you will always fall short

Bullying never acceptable but we need to believe in ourselves and push through no matter what- rise above be the better one- what goes around comes around and always remember you are beautiful just the way you are🌹

Can't allow the world to decide, who we are. Your words were worthwhile and needed.

I did enjoy and you are welcome.
I never liked any kind of makeup. Feels irritating tbh. Whether a person likes or dislikes me without makeup...i do not care. Whatever's inside...that matters :)

Most welcome
I struggle with Anxiety and depression. It sucks sometimes but the cure that I've found is to write! It's the most joyful thing that I do. Just write! It will take away those pains and hardships. I would also like to say that you have real potential in your writing and I am Genuinely surprised how amazing your writing style is! It was fantastic and I just wanted to let you know that you could even one day be a published author/writer if you wanted to! Keep smiling, keep writing, and most importantly. be you! You have a talent and this is a talent that all people should see and read!
I have a story here about my best friend, you don't have to read it if you don't want to, but I felt like I should share it with you. :)
