Right in the bin

Right in the bin

A Poem by Alex Ware
"

Quick musings on creation.

"
Right in the bin

Do you see an object, anything at all
A laptop, bicycle or basketball
The textbook you used to take to school
Or the deepest end of a swimming pool

And think how much went into its creation
The trial and error, success and damnation
The plans and patents, administration
Centuries of creative proliferation...

..led to your bedroom window, look out to the sky
rest your eye on a butterfly fluttering by
on a creature of no design from you or I
So then how is it here, more importantly why?

Trial and error by nature, that's all there is to it?
Would we make life ourselves if we knew how to do it?
What patience we'd have if we deliberately grew it?
We red stamped the butterfly and simply threw it.

Right in the bin.

It reminded me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydqReeTV_vk :D

But again, so observant, so elegant and so perceptive, I love your style
