Back Then

Back Then

A Poem by Alpris
"

Turning one of my greatest memories into a simple poem.

"

when I was a little s**t

night came too fast;

so did the moon and

its intruder light

it slept soundly across my floral legs

And dripped onto

easel floors

I remember, the old b***h next door

told everyone that

me and my sisters worship the devil

‘cause we liked to

climb the roof

and vomit Metallica things; evil things

jump on the trampoline

until the springs hiccupped painfully

And its elderly silver and orange legs

gave gravelley burps

we liked to

laugh

rich, childish cackles

witches in the dusk’s dunes

‘til master mama summoned us in

now,
the old b***h next door
has moved away

she has been replaced

by indians with bread sewn mouths
