Tasteless

Tasteless

A Poem by Alpris
"

Well, someone just asked if I modeled, and it sparked a hate. Here it is.

"
Models are overrated
faceless
fatless and unhealthy
inferior villainous
victims of society
that suffer from anorexia
ignorance, untreatable
dyslexia that turns their
world upside down to
expect things to be
the way they shouldn't look
models are underweighted
poor excuses for
existence, contradicting
the purpose of confidence
confidence that can
only be obtained
with satisfaction of yourself
not the result of
a false-faced a*****e who
tells you you're not worthy of
presentation until you weigh a feather's weight
models are spineless, hopeless
empty-headed and heavy-pursed
characters of a colourful magazine
that exist only
in colourful magazines
full of shallow, nil-witted
promiscuous and narrow-minded
wastes of air and time
Who the f**k
tells a girl she can only be pretty
if she resembles a knobby petty branch
that has been fucked in
a crayon's vagina and left
dripping in lack of dignity?
Yeah, you c**t, I wear
makeup, but subtly
so people can still
see me.
I eat
so that people
can still see me
and I won't disappear
when I turn on my side
I live
with a balance
that keeps me sane
not insane, deterioratingly pathetic
and mindless
like the zombies of
nowadays culture.
Somehow and for some reason
this world has plummeted, plunged
and sizzled
to an undefinable mess of
egotistically incorrect
peers and perverted people
distorting and channeling
the desired destination
of what people remember
is called happiness
a world without war, you say?
well
get off your arse and
recognize the hidden attractions
don't be distracted with propaganda-fueled,
pompous and unstable industries
built on the foundation of
hideous expectations

on your bike, s**t
rehab is that way.

I want to be a model
but a role model, at that
I'm not skinny but at least I can
f**k without snapping
eat without spewing
converse without fuming
live
without
pretending
.

That does make sense and I do understand where you are coming from. You did do a good job with it. They set a really bad example for young women.

Yeah that's true, but this poem is all about the mentality and arrogance of models and the industry itself. Thank you for reading and reviewing :D

It would be nice if they did "live without pretending." What would be even better is if magazines and editors did not do things like airbrush imperfections and crop images to look slimmer and such. Ultimately, those editors and publishers set the trends and manipulate what is received by the public. Modeling is a cruel industry indeed and it needs to change.
