Trance

Trance

A Poem by Alpris
"

What came to mind after listening to Trance.

"

i smell the crystal song

it leaks blue, purple sirened

medicine to fondle
my nerves

walk on through; still ocean

   in      wades     my               ear
        fair          to        heart's

it sails unanchored

rocking boat on desert

skidding through red sand-framed air

it reeks of near night

grains of chili dust

whispering a withered welcome

say "good morning star bliss"

had my dose of forest, too

before i landed fire

when Trance peed acid

Whoa, we can all use metaphors but not all can weave them into beautiful mysterious messages. Just incredible.

This reminds me of my piece "Astralturf" in the sense that it explores the world or the sensations beyond common perception. This poem is one of those "how was your trip" poems. It dares us to look at an experience and see what it means for us and the universe as a whole.

You have some really striking colors in this poem and I like how you mix elements like earth and fire.
