The Color of Justice

The Color of Justice

A Poem by Seeker

Justice should be color blind. But is it really?

White cops fear for their lives

When facing unarmed Blacks

Their chilling minds their instincts’ll drive

Even if in line of fire is a cop that’s black

Protection ain’t for the colored

No more need to be bothered

Forgive them, they know not what they do

In time you hope, the killing will halt

That’s soul searching, not voodoo

In robbing others of their heart

You do that to your own too

Act right, for justice to pursue
