Fake Lives, True Lies

Fake Lives, True Lies

A Poem by Seeker

If the ideological battles are for hearts and minds, sowing confusion has rendered reality a futile and distant dream.

Our world’s being turned on its head

By news mongers never in good stead

Yelling Weapons of Mass Destruction

Utter lies for public consumption

Killing for oil  ‘n corporate patrons

Death merchant pockets to beckon

When some lying head of state

Points fingers at the 4th estate

Calling news peddlers fake

Reality is all but lost, for a public

Dazed by jargon gone cryptic

Truth is lies, war is peace, sad and sick

Capturing the world around you. Done well, I enjoyed your use of vocabulary.
"Reality is all but lost, for a public..." It's hard to tell what the truth is and isn't these days. At this point I wouldn't be shocked at anything I'm being told, but I don't know if I'd believe it... To an extent... I just keep my head down and work on my personal future. Anyways thanks for sharing! Just the title alone speaks volumes.
