Staring At Your Picture Again

Staring At Your Picture Again

A Poem by Illumina

With an annoyed expression I look at your picture,
Why the heck do you have such a perfect figure?
At your lips, for a little too long my eyes linger,
Your cheeks, I trace them lightly with my fingers,

Again I find myself staring at your perfect features,
While staring at your picture I let out a sigh,
Why must my heart be like this? I'm only getting weaker,
To be with you, for that my heart is always eager,

Such a smooth jawline, oh I'm gazing at your picture again,
From that a thousand times I have told my heart to refrain,
But the memories we had together always remain,
Because I want to be able to be by your side again,

Oh I want you, but I don't have the courage or confidence,
You deserve better but oh I can't stop my heart from wanting,
Because without you there is a part of me that is missing.
