Wrong

Wrong

A Poem by AmeliaRabbit
"

"
Our normally warm and bustling home
was broken

A mind numbing
tinitus aggravating

awkward

silence

Ate away at our hearts

It was broken only by the quiet grinding
of an electronic timer

etching out the passage of time

and the occasional murmur of life
around the neighborhood

reminding us that
life goes on

despite our anger

Our pain is meaningless in the face of the world
but still we each cling to our frustrations
with the desperation
of a man drowning

For...

to lose ground in this war
would mean you were wrong

and to be wrong

was just

wrong
