Life in 7 stanzas...

Bring me into this world

so I can leave this warm embrace

and see my mother's face

Give me strength so I can walk

so I can learn and grow

like the chic-a-dee babies in my new window

Hold me tight and give me faith

take away my "owies" and tears

so I can frolic as a child, year upon year

Let me free, into the world

so I can pave my own destiny while opening my eyes

and mom can have some peace of mind

Life is grand, it's just begun

time's getting away from me as the sun breaks dawn

wish time could just take a breather, maybe yawn?

I now have children and grandchildre on my own

gave them lives and futures

kept them safe and warm

- and set them free -

Life is a miracle

and while it may be hard, it's full of wonder

I've lived mine, one I don't ponder

- set me soul free -

so it can live on for me...
