Come to me!

Come to me!

A Poem by Arielle Ann

Come to me, she growls.

Come to me, she howls.

With her voice that enthralls,

With her gaze that beholds,

With her lips luscious,

With her strands sinuous,

Come to me she ushers.

Come to me she allures.

 Who is she?

They ask unified.

A vamp or a damsel?

Or both combined?

At times she longs,

For love utmost,

Insistent and inexorable,

Devouring and implacable.

Hah then,

Ruthless and brutal,

Merciless and cruel,

She defies, she flouts,

She discards, she casts,

Aside that love

Once sacred, unappeasable,

Once pounding, insatiable.

So who is she?

The Jesus or the Judas?

Or both combined?

Passion for her

Is strong and short,

Roars like the storm

And dies like the worm.

Her preys, her stimulation,

Figments of imagination,

Motivation and creation,

Consumption and destruction!

Once served and done

She laughs- “lo & be gone”!

Yet

She loves, she adores,

The waves the ocean,

The rain, the sun,

The moon, the stars,

She sprints and gathers

Pebbles and feathers.

Dreams of Juliet,

Romeo and ladders!

Bemused she wonders

"Who am I?

The witch or the angel?

Or both combined?"

Baffled she ponders

Why these blunders?

"Am I insane?

Pain I invite,

Purposely I prey,

Consciously I play."

So over she shrieks,

Yet again she screams,

"Who am I?

Evil or good

Or both combined?"

Still she resides,

Yes you will see,

Over that cliff,

Beneath that oak,

Ushering you there,

With naive eyes that allure,

With moist lips that entice,

You will go, you will worship,

You will lust, you will love.

Only to realize and grasp,

To your dismay and horror,

You are her prey, her test

Her victim of amusement!

Once she is done,

You are a toy,

Wasted and useless

Futile and worthless!

Hah!

Come to me she will growl!

Come to me she will howl!

I love your format of conveying ideas via short lines or simply phrases(well-penned phrases). Maybe I didn't get who 'she' is but I honestly enjoyed the story behind somewhat (positively) jarring descriptions.

Great work. Keep them coming.
