favorite poetry leads me blind, unknowing

with unsure footsteps in the dark

where I am guided but grateful.

This poet and me

we hold hands, share a smoke

to celebrate words and relation

and small drops of karma falling

with wide-eyed nod and wonder.

Though victory is won

without trophy or ribbon

our adventure lasts longer

as written words always do ...
