King of Fae

King of Fae

A Chapter by Ana Papaya

~

There I sat atop a boulder, blue
Whistling a sad little memory of you
Remembering you in your dancing days
Lord of forest, King of Fae.

My heart was left crushed by stone
When you surfed a breeze at break of morn
Shimmering 'cross a sea blue sky
To deal the foe a fate forsworn

News it travelled 'cross river and town
Our King of Fae has won his fight
But the cost to save his kin and wife
Was to pay the toll with his own life.

A very good story told in the poetry. I liked the journey to the sad ending. I liked how you create a king and you told of fatal battle. Thank you Ana for sharing your amazing poetry.

Thanks very much Drift, very much appreciate your comment!!
An ethereal magical vibe to this wee tale, what an honourable character, you can't help but feel endeared to this. I think this tale could go places, many of your pieces have that characteristic. Fine fine writing! R xo

I knew a Faelyn we worked in a pub together in Belfast I don't know the origin of her name but I always thought her name was mystical and magical.

Ana, you should look into being published, seriously. Everything you write connects to the heartstrings beautifully and reminds me of some beauty I have felt in my life. You got it lady, art in word form.

Oh, and ps...Fae, in Scot's as in werr ah'm fae, means where I am from. Just mentioning it as it feels so apt to the last verse.
