A Few More Moments

A Few More Moments

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

Many a time
my body, my soul gets hurt
while walking the tiring path of life,
and my eyes start searching for
the destination,
at least a tree,
Some broad shades, adequate rest.

Too many mirages mock at me .
Caring very little about those ,
I look at the gores and blisters
on my body .
Knowing  well that the ones residing
in my soul are even deeper ,
I tighten up my chin .

I caress myself, telling -
" A few more moments ,
Receive a bit more than what you thought ,
and the tide will be yours !"

Wonderful poem, well written. Kept me flowing and breezing through your words. Nice description and pace.
"Many a time
my body, my soul gets hurt
while walking the tiring path of life,
and my eyes start searching for
the destination" rings true for so many people!
"Knowing well that the ones residing
in my soul are even deeper ,
I tighten up my chin ." Very powerful and reaches all types of people! Well done!

Thank you so very much Thomas :)
Sometimes, the challenges Life offers can inundate us like a huge wave crashing on the shore and drawing us away into a sea of desolation. It is a continual struggle to head back to the safety of the shore but soon you discover that you can float and you can swim and you can grasp the objects that drift your way and make something out of it…. Then, the sea is no more than something you have to go through in order that you head out to newer shores as you discover who you are.

we have to love the process , the journey. isn't it?
So much of this everywhere...I wonder if we'll ever get anything right..wonder if it's possible for our species.
Enjoyed it.
