"It Is Spring..."

"It Is Spring..."

A Poem by Chris

we never know the other side of tomorrow til we look in our eyes...

"It Is Spring..."

I miss the moments of our sun,

breaths so softly held and shared -

even the tears hurt more - ya know?

and a smile ...held me so close.

I see your footsteps through my world -

noseprints on the glass.

Hear your voice behind my eyes

and know it's your hand touching me.

I LIVE the music in the air

the silliness of tiptoes as I turn a corner -

just to see      ...the silence of the walls

and feel the breath softly leave.

It is finally Spring

and I look and I look

and ...I LOOK and almost see

your eyes gazing back from within.

...and I breathe...

again.

Kind words... and welcome back.
I was going to say you must miss spring rushing it like this, but I am the one that has been remiss, as your work was on time and I was late. Well done work.

A lovely view of the renewing time of year.

This is beautifully haunting. The Joy of memories meeting the realization of gone. Its that cycle of grief that is never ending, and on some days the joy of the memory outshines the loss on other we have the clouds, but we get through as you say, by just breathing through. There is no other way to go on. Lovely write.

read because you want to... I hope you find your smile within.
Some moments have their own footsteps and lead us to times where Spring is forever to be held in the hopeful heart ♥

This is beautiful Chris! For me it emulates the end of cold "silence" and the sounds of life around us, and life within us, starting to show "green shoots" again.....:)

I believe that you do live the music in the air, Chris... Thank heaven for Spring... :)

Somehow this is a bittersweet poesy. Bitter because of losing something or someone close to you, but sweet because it is there or they are there within you. Spring does resuscitate us from deathly numbness and helps us to look and breathe again.
