Red Silence

Red Silence

A Poem by Andrew Rayne
"

The quiet of PTSD.

"
I should have died that day.
We all should have died,
but we didn't.
Such unbreakable dispositions,
who dared to have a stare down with Death.

Bloody men,
did the devil cut out your tongue?
Is that why you won't speak?

..."We should have died that day,"
but we didn't,
and dead men tell no tales.
