The Angel Without Wings

The Angel Without Wings

A Poem by Angel Without Wings
"

She is an angel, The first thing they said. Skin like moonlight, Hair like the sun, Eyes like the stars, But where are her wings?

"
She is an angel,
The first thing they said.
Skin like moonlight,
Hair like the sun,
Eyes like the stars,
But where are her wings?

She is no angel,
Looks can deceive.
Voice to tell lies,
Smiles to disarm,
Hands to manipulate,
Does she like that wall around her?

I am an angel,
The first thing they said.
My skin like moonlight,
My hair like the sun,
My eyes like the stars,
But I have no wings.

I am no angel.
My looks do deceive,
My voice tells lies,
My smiles disarm,
My hands manipulate,
Yes I do like this wall that I built.

It protects the angel inside of me.

Good use of imagery. I think that your topic is a little overdone, but your writing makes up for that - managed to keep things relatively fresh and interesting. I don't really like the very last line. I think you could probably cut it and make this a little more powerful, but that's up to you. Good work.
