Abecedarian

The ABCs of Abecedarian

The ABCs of Abecedarian

Albeit an abhorrent assumption;
Based blindly beyond
Critical consumption;

Daring dreams die,
Evoking errant emotions -
Feelings fly!

Gradually growing gravitation,
Hope haplessly happens,
Inciting indignation.

Justifying jaded juxtaposition,
Keeping karma keen,
Learning logician.

Meeting many minds,
None nearly naïve -
Omniscience opines.

Pursuing proud perfection,
Quantifying quiet qualities -
Requires redirection.

Suddenly someone's star-struck!
Taming tantamount terrors,
Ultimately unstuck.

Victorious visions vexed,
Without wanton worry,
Xenophobia x'd.

You youthful yearning
Zealot!
Abundant alliteration adjourning!

Dear Mr. Moderator:

I hope I followed your instructions correctly! I had never heard of an abecedarian; or at least never knew the term for that type of poem; thank you for teaching me something new! My poem may not be the most correct version of what you were asking for - but it will definitely be the most complicated! It seems I never make things easy on myself, guess I like a challenge. So I fashioned my poem in a most unique way that I hope you'll enjoy.
At first, it may seem that my poem is random with no meaning, but I assure you I worked very hard to stay true to my design while still having a point. I would be interested in your interpretation.
Then, after you have drawn your own conclusions, read this:
SPOILER ALERT!
Here is what I intended to say in my esoteric way:
The poem is an archetypical tale about how life can sometimes dash our dreams, leaving even the most creative & optimistic of us jaded. With our blissful navet lost, frustrated emotions lead the intellect to overtake the imagination & seek answers outside of self; from other intellects mostly, as if we could explain the meaning of one another to each other. But hope springs eternal! So even though the intellectual search for perfect truth is futile, the logical mind persists, but only finds shallow answers to deep questions. Until finally, one spark of intuition overcomes the mind's fear that there is no meaning to life, simply because the mind is too narrow to express it. Imagination & emotion are revitalized by simple faith. New inspirations & visions are "vexed" (in this context meaning "tossed about, as waves"). One even becomes open to foreign ideas (thus "xenophobia" is "x'd" out of our minds), we regain the wonderment of youth & become zealous for more!
My submission is called "The ABCs of Abecedarian" by Angelface.
