Incense

Incense

A Poem by Angeliki Largatzis

An incense, burning to the touch -
A moth to the flame,
I was drawn.
Your scent was an entirety
An intoxication
A face that had been removed.
Do you own a name?
What is your existance?
I can't place a single thought,
Nor a single idea -
To what I've faced.
I'd forbidden,
Forgiven
And forgotten -
The feelings that feared of danger.
The scent is all around,
I breathe in the air
Contaminated by the incense -
Which you had left behind.
