This is such a heartbreaking yet beautiful tragedy. The unending antitheses are so poignant in their message. These two former lovers have crushed one another for quite possibly no reason, and they both realize it, and yet neither wants to do anything. This is the saddest kind of loss, when one knows that he or she is the cause, but still has the ability to fix, and yet refuses to anyway. And when such a loss occurs in love, then it as literally heart shattering. My favorite part is the repetition of "yet it was over." It's a tragic closer, a message for all to know that their love is dead, never to be resurrected. Tragic yet beautiful. Keep going, Rose Black.
