Aventures

Aventures

A Poem by Rose Black
"

Somethimes chsnge is the biggest Adventure

"

This was the first time I saw her

She was beautiful

The adventure in her wild hair

The fire in her eyes

Her bare feet on the soft sand

The sun on her skin

The blue of the sky in her eyes

The freedom in her

Like a phoenix I saw hope

I saw a way

I was reborn

After that day everything changed

I was no longer letting go

I was fighting

I never saw her again

I don’t even know her name

I don’t even know if she exists

Or if I just imagined her

But either way she changed me

I like to think I changed her too

Maybe we were each other’s linchpin

Or maybe be not I will never know

But I thank you

Girl that ran barefoot in the sand

In the middle of winter

You make me believe again

For that I Love you

Hello and goodbye

I apologize for taking so long to reply. My classes during this semester have been grueling. This was a beautifully romantic poem. I liked how you had each stanza have its own major subject that related to the situation. I especially like the antithetical nature of the first and second stanzas. That is, the first is more joyful, and the second is more sorrowful. It really added to the realist nature of the poem. The first stanza is my favorite, because the imagery was so powerful. I could clearly see the beauty and grace of the girl as she walked along the beach. This also seemed to transfer the emotions of the narrator into myself as well. It was wonderful. I just found one issue. The last line in the second stanza should read "Or maybe not; I will never know." That is all. Thank you for writing again. I really missed reading your works.

Neurotically yours,

You are welcome. Dreams can be fore warnings and gentle caress.
