Colorblind

A Poem by Anima Inspired
"

The sensuality of lovers

"

Devoid of color
I sense you in the darkness
learning the language of
your body by Braille
feeling my way across
the sea of waving
silk and cotton until
in a flash of fire
my fingertips
find their way
to your skin

and we dance

beneath the stars
of our own universe,
weightless
transitioning
shedding our skin
like bark peeling
from white tree trunks
until we are
bare

and we persuade

the night to leave us
allow us, give us
the time to explore the
depths of seas unnamed
where forever
is more than a promise
and the sound
of words is sung
through treetops glazed
with the moisture
of love

I love the intense progression through the whole piece.
"beneath the stars of our own universe, weightless transitioning shedding our skin like bark peeling from white tree trunks until we are bare" this part was just priceless to me. You're a great writer. Thanks for sharing.

Ooh, a sensual one. "In a flash of fire my fingertips find their way to your skin." A nice touch of friskiness, that's always good. lol.
The last five lines are incredibly amazing. I don't even quite understand exactly the meaning behind those words yet, but it doesn't matter, just the sound of those words is pleasing. You know that's something special when you feel an effect, any kind of effect before you even understand the meaning of what's being read, or said. I just love that.
