When You've Reached Me

 I  can not help but fret
knowing that they all will bet
if you will call tonight
or pass another silent fight.

 I can not help but cry
knowing that I am not sure why
pain is where I have to be
without you calming me.

 My heart can not help but race
knowing that I am not in your embrace
each night before you go to bed
with my scent swimming through your head.

 My head can not help but spin
knowing that I could have been
laying there with you
but these wishes are merely wishes;
not ready to come true...

It's nice and actually, I can relate alot to it. At first I thought it would be about a breakup or a fight, but I loved the ending. It is painful being without them but you can't exactly be with them either. That is the scariest place to be, between the two.
