Arriving In A New Town

Alone in a new town,

It’s enough to get you down.

When you feel like giving up,

Just remember your recent luck!

You have truly been blessed,

Now it’s time to make your life a success.

 

Yet, having almost no friends,

Feeling lonely at times.

A broken heart only time may mend,

Your only company being a paper, pen and rhymes.

 

How different your life would have been,

Having stayed and possibly missing your dream.

A dream that’s not easily fulfilled,

But having a blast and one hell of a thrill,

Trying to achieve it,

Trying to never give up or be beat.

 

Though being far away from your loved ones,

The past can never be undone,

Can never be changed,

Or rearranged.

You just have to suck it up,

Keep moving forward and trying not to get stuck.
