Identities

Identities

A Poem by Anonymus_Anomoly
"

This work reflects the inner turmoil of an individual who's come to recognize they are nothing more than a product of the system they live in. They question identity and purpose in this revelation.

"
At some point it became about the image.
This life that I'm living hidden beneath time and values ridden.
Forgotten Ideals, I feel I've compromised what's real.
All that remains scraps of washed out appeal.
The product of choices lost within voices distant.
Soft spoken sonnets buried in blinding vision.
Eyes widen as the lights brighten.
Consumption carries, fading fates weary.
Shadows grow thin, they're lost within.
Faces faithful of the system they're in.
My faith estranged, ostracized through pain.
I'd rather live now than never live again.
