You know what i heard...

I heard somewhere
Somewhere in the land
above the sky
peace exists
I want to go up there
the place, where i might get satisfaction

I heard somewhere
Along with the stars
In the sky
lies happiness
I want to go up there
the place, where i might get satisfaction

Its so funny!
Whatever I heard, I heard it from
My surroundings
They suggests me to go up there
regardless of maintaining peace beneath

Very good, thought-provoking poem. The repetition of the line "the place, where i MIGHT get satisfaction" was effective in portraying the thread of doubt that runs through the poem and reaches a climax at the close of the last stanza. Well done!

This poem is knocking my socks off, becuz of the hidden meanings. For one thing, it makes me think of how we can sometimes feel that our planet is hopelessly messed up with violence & greed robbing the best of everything. It is tempting to want to escape to an unsullied place (but we humans would probably mess that up, too!) Another interpretation I thought of was just being old & in constant pain, I must admit I long for death to end this endurance test. And on good days, I'm looking at the joyous abundance of nature around me as if it's a separate existence, a place I focus on, to blot out the pain.

Absolutely correct...whenever we see the mess, all we try to find some better place. But there is no better place than our planet. All we need to do is to stand for a cause, stand against the wrong deeds.
As Mahatma Gandhi once said "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".
There are two ways to live our life : 1)let it all go
2) lets fix this once and for all
