Circus Monkey

Circus Monkey

A Poem by Anya

kissed was I
by sun and stars
the rings of Saturn
revolved my hips
Immortal are
My wounds, my scars
smoke rings evolve
from two cruel lips

but what was truth
and what is lie
love, what worth did these terms hold
the sugar coat of a rotting corpse
with the tangy after-taste of mold

I laughed in death,
I envied life,
Scratched the surfaces of pleasure
Yet fantasized
to be capsized
By the circus monkey’s treasure

Who is he,
priceless name
whose wicked ways could excite
Cycling on a sandy stage
In the steamy heat
of cold midnight

brown and strong
I am your fool
Lying in a luxury grave
Lost in space
With a monkey face
By whom I was depraved

bite this bleeding hand to bits
could I have you,
momentarily
steal the heart im scared to give
could I love you,
temporarily

leave the circus,
plastic love
be my personal new toy
let the animal tendencies run wild
perform the act that I enjoy

circus monkey,
how u tempt me
how you tease your audience
I must
I lust,
To be your master
and whip you for your insolence

do the trick you know I love
impress me,
undress me,
make me squirm
let me spend you with my skills
and mock the purity humans must unlearn

circus monkey,
I’m unworthy
Undeserving of your charms
Too naïve to hear your lies
Too immoral to chastise
Too impious to scandalize
Too whorish to devirginize
Too outspoken to disguise
Too imaginative to fantasize
All this am I in your eyes…

Don’t refuse me, circus monkey
You tend to delude
indoctrinate
Mentally provoke
and stimulate
brainwash, and
incriminate
But never end
the scene quite right
Ever leave me
Never love me
Black n’ beady
Circus monkey

About
So runs my dream; but what am I? An infant crying in the night An infant crying for the light.. And with no language but a cry. more..
