Such A Glorious Illusion!

Perfection is much like a rainbow, 

They are both unreachable destinations, 

Yet as unreal as they may be,

We are naturally drawn to their mystical powers and beauty,

 Never be afraid to chase either,

 They appear more magical and become clearer the closer you get to them.

Nice analogy about perfection and a rainbow.
I like the last line especially the word "clearer" as it means "knowledge" of the truth that it's just an illusion.

This poem is written in a nice "matter of fact" manner that not only states your opinion of perfection (which I do agree with to an extent), but states it in a subtly creative fashion. Also, for a free-verse poem, it has good flow. Every word (in my opinion, at least) flows off the tongue, which helps to deliver the message in an even more powerful way. Overall, great job. Keep on writing! :)

How true...
The more you go closer to beauty, more it seemed to be way glorious-looking. Panoramic view it contains that further speaks the heart with "perfection" of its scales. Nice shot!

No one can ever be perfect but if we could begin to attempt to comprehend what it is and if we all had the resources to aspire towards it I believe this world would be pretty damn spectacular. I don't see the use in aiming for anything less. Thanks so much for dropping by, much appreciated.

Ev'n the perfectionism itself damn belongs to freaking "heart" which's, uncertainly, found kaleidoscopic & way capricious to life. Ye - noone's perfect neither can one ev'r be ... cos, what's needa be perfect just seems to be hooked up with heart & the heart's unbound with obscurities of life. Kinda deep.
