The Choice You Made©

back stabber, believing lies over truth

People always ask do u believe in god?
And I respond “he must not be to far”.
Cause you can scream his name from the top of any roof,
Never asking, doubting or wanting any proof.
But you broke that chain when you chose darkness over light,
You never had enough courage to see what was right.
I’m not gonna fight and argue over the choices that you make,
While you walk down that empty road you chose to solemnly take.
All alone is what you have chosen to be,
Never paying attention to the lies I see.
You should have known what was the truth,
Now we stand in different social groups.
You wanted to be happy yet in the end you are sad,
Is that what you wanted in your life so bad.
Well I’m not gonna be the one to cry,
I’m over thinking and wondering why.
You broke the bond we built after so long,
But now all you have is a broken heart song.
I’m not gonna be the one to ask you to stay,
Not yesterday, not tomorrow and not even today.

I don't know what to say. It was a really good poem. I can picture it in my mind but I won't say I can relate or understand your feelings because I haven't really ever experienced that. I could probably relate a little to your friend's doings since I kinda went down that path myself. Good thing is I resurfaced before I was too far gone. Maybe your friend isn't too far gone, I wish you luck if you have any chance of getting them back.
