The Breaking Hearts Game

The Breaking Hearts Game

A Poem by APoetsMuse
"

game, break up

"

You act just like a child who thinks he's grown,
Never knowing what your doing or if your even home.
You were the one thing I could never understand,
I was lost in your world looking for a place to land.
You kept me close so you could play me by far,
Hiding and sneaking like a burning shooting star.
But when I found the numbers I knew before you did it,
That I had lost this endless game and it was time to quit it.
But I stood and kept believing all your stories and your lies,
Yet you never heard my pleas or even saw my cries.
I was used and discarded like last nights leftovers,
I would pray for some luck or even a four-leaf clover.
I knew what you did and all that you didn't let show,
But little by little I soon learned to grow,
Now I make the rules in the game you now play,
I have all the power f**k what you say.
The game you played on me I won't do to others,
Cause the next one will love me and be my true lover.
He will fill the dent that you left on my heart,
He'll be a real man, true from the start.
So I hope you’re a champion in this game that you play,
Because in the end you will be blown away.
Cause the next guy will crush you and show you true pain,
Then he will be ruler in the breaking hearts game.
