fears realized

fears realized

A Poem by Vincent

i stare dimly, blinking profoundly, questions
etched, grafted on this sheet;
what's stopping me?
words spoken daintily, cheerfully,
yet i feel nothing less but the heat
of a cold, wretched slap to the face.

waiting hand and foot, a minute
suspended in my relapse;
complacently pacing about
waiting for an illusionist's moment,
because i am my own derelict
realized by purgatory.

are you my illusionist?

seconds drag my eyes along,
and my heart with it too;
alone, desperate, waiting,
i feel lifeless without you.
listening for words formed without purpose;
what is said is meaningless in the moment.

are you my illusionist?

my mind's innocent perception is leading me on.

I'm average, I think. I'm only here to express myself and to get exposure. I just want people to read my writing and pull SOMETHING from it. I'm sorry that I don't review much; I just seem to be too h.. more..
