in the unknowns - then home

breakthrough pain and misgivings - finding yourself and your place in midst of deep surrender

I jumped

afraid of unknowns

into utter darkness

I surrendered

leaving parts of pain and judgment

scorn, misgivings, doubt

this suffering

letting go

delving deeply into release

...

I feel

like never before

Essence coming into my body

...

I burn

red hot ember

Wafting vapors gently into the night

I love

this body this person

myself

I connect

my fluids, my essence,

my gifts and this creative process

I reflect

this person, my oneness

I come back into myself

Oh

This sweet, sweet surrender.

my place of safety, comfort

This is my home.

Author's Note

The impromptu spelling and grammar are my feelings flowing into the piece. Its mostly raw with few reworking to explore depth of this process I am going through of surrender.

The title itself completely envelops the thoughts and emotions conveyed in this wonderful piece. Doubt, unknowing, fear, letting go and finding comfort where you land. this conveys both the large and small, the known and unknown, and could be about one particular thing, or everything in it's entirety.
