The Sea

The Sea

A Poem by Arabdha
"

musings by the sea..

"
Waves lap amidst the coarse sands..
Tinged freckles of regrets remain..
like the indigo stained waters..
whose depths you cannot fathom..
the scenario transcends..
waves change their formless forms..
life changes..
as i stand there..
an audience to the world's changing norms..
A seagull flies by..
My sole companion in the distant darkness..
Stay careful friend !
The sea doth not speak of forgiveness..
Waves lap amidst the coarse sands,
as the night brings back memories of things lost..
tinged freckles of regrets remain..

it is lovely, I really like what you have done here. It's very effective how you have repeated the lines in the first and final stanza. The flow is lust lovely over all. My one concern is in the second stanza, I don't believe 'pertain' is the right word here. maybe perceive?

A amazing poem. The ocean can create a outstanding story and wonderful memories. I like the description. You took me to a good place in your words. A excellent poem. Thank you.

One again you did a great job! I liked this one...made me feel like I was standing right along the beach watching this scene unveil itself.

Beautiful!

Very good. I like the way you used the ocean waves breaking to reflect the steady and constant amoral sense of life. Life progresses without care to your feelings, things change without your permission and time marches on with or without you. Your feelings are your problem so either deal with it and get on with life or don't, but it won't stop time.

Good work here.

this doesn't feel like a rant at all. rather, it reads like a very melodic stream of consciousness and it's quite beautiful. i agree with la lorena, i don't think you meant pertain. other than that i think it's a wonderful work!

This is a very lyrical 'rant'!? Wistful, dreamy write - totally fits mindset of most people I see walking the beach in my hometown. Good work.
