a LANTERN LIT UP SO HIGH

a LANTERN LIT UP SO HIGH

A Poem by ArabellaMortimerHendry
"

poem about losing a loved one

"
Days are cloudy. And they fade. memories go by from yesterday. Putting flowers on a grave, and wishing you could say something, but its too late,

But you. I know you could of pulled through. If we only knew, what on earth to do. But there's a chamber in my heart that's hidden in the dark, a secret so kept. i don't even threat. Every time i see a daughter and father, im full of regret, I did everything i could, let us not forget. In another time you would of been here, instead of drowning in your pools  of tears. I would fight the demons that always put you in reverse gear. However they took you, i will not shed a tear, because i know sincerity. And yet im angry at you, for putting me through so much pain. Yet i miss you, i wish we could all relive again. And throughout the years i have pictured you in the audience, when im in a play, or just pictured you on every birthday. The pain is like no other, you cannot describe, what it is like to lose a father to the sky.

I am not grieving , i am just remembering.

Beautiful...as time, heals all wounds...it just leaves emotional scars for life.
