Monotonous tis come

Monotonous tis come

A Poem by Archia
"

I can feel it beating in my ribs

"

I can feel a beating between my ribs

Its there, ticking its monotonous tone.

One two three

Monotonous

Fear pricks into my mind

Monotonous fear

One two three

It picks up

Faster now

One two three

Say it fast

One two three

Don’t get tongue-tied

One two three

It’s still there, ticking

Even if you’re not

Ticking

Monotonous again

One two three

I can feel a beating between my ribs

Can you?

Oooh this was indeed interesting and captivating to the reader (me) ;)
I liked the use of the word monotonous, w=very spiffy. I also found that it was even more enjoyable the faster I read it. I think it could very well be performed as a fast spoken word poetry on a stage somewhere. I'd gladly watch that. :)
