Judgement Day

Judgement Day

A Poem by Aria

Tonight is the night we will all perish
Tonight is the night we will lose all we cherish
Tonight is the night we will be no more
The night they all closed the door

Tonight is the night we will never say goodbye
Tonight is the night we will have no tears to cry
Tonight is the night we will all see
The night no one became free

Tonight is the night we will witness the worlds clash
Tonight is the night we will return to ash
Tonight is the night it began
The night of the end of man

Tonight was the night no one knew
Tonight was the night Heaven's angels flew
Tonight was the night Hell's knights rose
The night that time froze

The night no one had believed
The night we all mercilessly received
The night they all nearly died
The night God finally cried

Well spoken.

Wow. I really enjoyed this, it's a very strong piece. Though I do have one recommendation, the refrain of "Tonight is the night..." gets a bit repetitive so why not try saying it once per stanza instead of every line? Just a suggestion, but a good poem none the less :)

I am finding that the end of your poems are always, I don't quite know how to say it; Lingering. They have the resonance of a lover's fingertips that have long curled away. This is a wonderful thing, a powerful tool for any writer to possess. Thank you for this entry.

I don't do well with talking about myself so I will simply say that my writing sets the stage for my imagination to play. But more than that, every piece I write, whether a poem or novel, is a bit of .. more..
