the acatalepsy

the acatalepsy

A Poem by Ariana Papastergiou
"

Poem number 4 from the collection. I hope you enjoy. And feel. And find some sort of meaning. :-)

"
-the acatalepsy-

The acatalepsy in which I dwell
I try to capture in a picture
by changing settings
thinking to myself, how
can I alter the colors
so that they can hold hostage
the infinity of your eyes

The acatalepsy with which you're wrapped up
I try to put into words
by scarring the paper
with a quill's sharp end
considering whether or not
I should describe my ignorance
or your blooming wisdom

The acatalepsy in which I dwell
I try to theatrically perform
by putting a heart into the words
believing that from the dead
I can manage to read
your sun kissed lips

Author's Note

Ariana Papastergiou
Hello. Let me say it again, the poem means what you think it means. There is no right or wrong meaning or right or wrong interpretation of the message. The "you" belongs to you. It's a face that you are familiar with and for which you feel what I feel about my own "you". Also in order to help you find a meaning to the poem, I would suggest that you look up what ''acatalepsy'' means. It is a philosophy actually. Thank you for taking time to read my stuff.
