Left or right. Is right always right? Maybe left is right for some, and maybe others are content being in the center.
Wandering Towards or away from something I'll never be sure It's like I'm caught in the middle Being pulled Even though I'm always traveling Never turning back I'm pulled From one side to the next I like the left side better It feels right Unlike the right side That appears more common The right side should be right So they say But I prefer the left It fits me right The right will always hold a place Occasionally I will venture back However, the left is where I'll remain If just for a time To experience what I feel is right As opposed to what is said to be
Very well written! Your word choice is great, although the repetition of left and right is very, very tight and dulling. Perhaps focusing left on the right and left sides, you could focus more on how they make the speaker feel. But all in all it's a very good poem.
Very good, I write a lot about homosexuality and I applaud anyone that writes about it! Wait to go, I can see that you left it open so that way it could mean multiple things which is very good. I wrote a poem called "A Rose on Castro Street" which is open too but it's really about Harvey Milk, I would really like it if you read it and gave me some feed back :]
I've been writing since I was nine... it's kind of a way of life for me by now. I write almost anything really and of nearly any genre. I'm also an editor and director. Currently I am in my 4th year o.. more..
