The Universal Language

The Universal Language

A Poem by Arsenic
"

A description of the first time that I did perform on stage. Within it also contains my feelings of the essence of music itself.

"

The spotlights sear the skin

As water sears the Witch

The applause is loud the cheers even louder

As I am called to take the stage

Silence the room stills no more cheers or claps, only waiting

My stomach falls away

As every eyes upon my face

I play the first note

My fears are gone now

The music absorbs carrying me up and flying me away

Guitar and voice entwined as one

Connecting thoughts and minds and souls

Joy and love

Happiness and heartache

All become expressed in the universal language

The language of music

Silence I walk off stage

Cheers and applause follow my retreat

I smile my expression complete, my voice shared

Hearts connected, souls aware, my heart at peace
