Have you ever looked beyond the Moon?

 

 

 

Let us drench ourselves within the rain,

let its beauty soak and cleanse

the beauty of sadness,

that which is seen when tears fall.
Let us find beauty

of which we wish to explain,

and have you ever looked beyond the moon?

 

 

 

 

       

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Did you ever search,

and feel beauty amongst dark skies?

Did you ever wonder,

why there is beauty within shadows,

for somehow the Light is hidden

and the beauty of our mind

seeking to be,

and have you ever looked beyond the moon?

 

 

 

I listened

to the innocence of youth

as they whispered I love you,

finding its depth within another.

This view

of where I had found myself,

with time to look back

at all those years when I was also young,

and though someone once said

beauty is only skin deep

those three words of,

I love you, 

is beauty that lasts forever

in ones eternal soul. 

 

 

 

I can search

the wonders of oceans

and dreams of my imagination,

with thoughts and expressions of words,

yet the heavens are

where Angels wish of our lives.

And though

I have not experienced the afterlife,

that view of the Light

of which many speak,

surely must be divine.

For when I saw the written word

of how I was re-born

there must have been a beautiful feeling.

It must have matched

the quality of a newborn

and the joys of everyone involved.

To hear that loud cry

and gasp of a first breath,

for the day I walked in and he took his last,

I saw the smile he waited to give me,

though I shed not a tear

for the prayer was what I had wished

 

Suffering

can take you to that beautiful place,

beauty of which Adam and Eve knew of

until they tasted it within the apple

and all its wisdom

changed the times of this world,

almost like a first kiss changes one

and creates sensuality,

for I know I have felt

the beauty of ecstasy

and the love of my wife…

There is beauty everywhere in everything if the time is taken to see it. Life is an interesting journey, the lessons not always delivered as we wish to learn but with every step we grow, slowly answers revealed when we are ready to receive until finally the graduation day arrives. It will be interesting to see what comes next, til then a lot of growing to do to earn that right.
