I am...

I am...

A Poem by HeavyThoughts
"

This is a light poem. I really like it and I hope you guys do too.

"
We are the same.
We are different.
We are friends.
We are lovers.
We are family.
We hate each other, but we would die for each other.
We are enemies by blood.
Allies by wine.
We are the duct tape of America.
We are the young, the old, the strong, and the weak.
We trust, but we are still suspect treachery.
I am Stalin to your Hitler.
Mussolini to your Tojo.
I am America, and I pick the lesser of two evils.
I have saved France countless times.
I have denied British rule, and I have helped her rule.
I am towering and crumbling.
I am under attack and attacking.
I am the wind, constantly shifting.
I am the earth, steadfast and strong.
I am you and you and even you.
But above all, I am me.
Just me.
