The Child Who Said No

A Story by Ashton Blake

His mom said come inside
the child said no
she went and grabbed his hand
as she pulled
him into the house
and brought him into the
she grabbed her heated curling iron
an hit him across the his face
he went to school with scars
the teacher asked
"what happened"
he was afraid to say
so the teacher told the principal
and she told the
they showed up
at the child's house
and took the mom away the child said
but the police
as he was lying  in bed
  at the foster home
he slowly died saying
"mommy, mommy"

This is a sad story. It was written simply and precisely making it easy for me to read. The story flowed well, and I enjoyed reading it.

This is a sad and depressing story. I can see that on the nightly news channels. Also, I prefer more conventional sentence structure, grammar and punctuation. You have good imagination. Keep writing, perhaps on more positive subjects.
