Dawn Breaks Over a Reddened Earth

Dawn Breaks Over a Reddened Earth

A Poem by Celestine Astraea Firestorm

I trek to the Motherland
Calling all people!
Gram of bee pollen sprinkled on my silver sage face
I'm pressing my knees to the Sonora Desert Ground
Everything is in Divine order

I rise to my feet
An irreplaceable soul
Stands with me this twilight
I gaze into her bejeweled eyes
Bestowing upon me, love and open arms
And a shoulder upon which to cry

Beholder of Stones!
Turquoise, Lapis lazuli, and coral reflect in the night silence
I re-write history from Her words,
An instigation, we invite change
Justified by our Hope

We travel along the footprints of those who came before
Guiding us on our way
Pure spirits eloping
Escaping this greedy domain for a finer existence
Destination: Shangri-la
