Daylight Crime

Daylight Crime

A Poem by Frank F. Atanacio
"

a crime during the day ...

"

In the daylight,

under the sun,

he would attack,

the detective saw the gun,

he saw the criminal shooting,

and he began shooting back,

he felt his bullets hit,

each one knocking him back a bit,

and almost at the same moment,

he had lost control over his feet,

he flinched and staggered

down the incline toward the street,

the detective had no time,

to create a file for this daylight crime.
