I know you've been watching that tape

I know you've been watching that tape

A Poem by Audrey Rey

I’m the message you
receive
when the
memory of me
slips away
I’m the reminder
cutting through
your
everyday life
an alarm you
cannot turn
off
I am planted
in your veins
discreetly but
firmly
a disease at
its own slow
pace
seeping into
your cells
irreversibly

this is potent...love the ending from, a disease that eats at its own slow pace....this is the essence of consumption...the inevitablity of it, the 'fate' intrinsic. beautiful :)

Yeah I know that feeling. Such a seeping discovery. You have a lot of sharp sensory in your poems. Perfect.
