catacomb of memories

catacomb of memories

A Poem by Devashish Kumar

a grey gentle morning invited
me to an untrodden path with
promises of lush green grass
and wind slow sweet and soft
irresistibly tempted- i duly obliged

as i marched along stomping
on dewdrenched lustrous grass
the place looked oddly familiar
its wonted quiet reminiscent
of its unquiet restless times

in a faraway corner obsfucated
from unwelcome trespassers by
dense bushes laid a catacomb
of your memories and nearby
burnt my dreams sans smoke
