Words

A Poem by Rea

I watchd the rain drops fall from the misty sky,

Felt the cold hue on my skin.

I heard her voice singing a sad lullyby,

My tears were lost in the mist and the rain

One by one they poured down my cheek,

In silence the tears poured,

like acid rain on my skin.

My lips were parted yet i could not speak

Words lost forever...in a single moment.

This speaks of a deep sorrow, only heard in the soul of the mother rain. The rain pours while in solitude's grace, the tears flow, hidden by the mother. The thoughts and emotions, the words... vanishing into the the sand, upon a lonely walk.

Your words carry a powerful moment with them. I could feel the piece vibrating at the core of who I am. Great Ink!

Ach, I read those two lines in an odd way. I read them like the person had just had a stroke and wld never speak again. This is how it is for many. But let's be cheerful! Any poem which inspires, or triggers any thought in the reader works. So you get my vote for this one!

Well written!
The piece was sad... but beautiful and grace filled.
Loved the expressions used and usage of words to create environment of calmness, loneliness and sadness.
Great job.

The imagery and all of the senses are portrayed beautifully in this, however I felt as if more was to be said at the end. That being the irony, perhaps, in words lost forever. Nice little write!

watched typo first line, as for the theme of the poem is very deep, the words often fail us leaving us with only the pain and doubts. The rain and the tears burning your face is nice imagery. keep em' coming
