When Writers' Cafe Crashed

When Writers' Cafe Crashed

A Poem by avant security guard

When Writers' Cafe crashed

Reggie Torbor was taping his cleats.

I was on hold for a poetry call in show.

Tom Coughlin was pacing the locker room.

Eli was going over the plays.

Right then, boom! Time for a Superbowl.

Can

Anyone ever

Forget that incredible play, when

Eli, with blitzers pulling on his jersey, threw the ball up, and Tyree caught it against his helmet.
