Her Rock

Listening to the silence, she knows not what to do.
All that she has is hope she hopes to hold on to.
The darkness overwhelms her, and she sinks deeper and deeper.
But every once in a while, she comes up for a breather.
This is not a life she wants, this is not the life she foresaw.
As a child playing in the meadow, painting flowers on every wall.
It seems that each time she sees the light, the darkness fights harder to engulf.
But she'll try. Try with all her might, to find comfort in His love.
For His love has brought her this far. With smiles and laughs to tell.
He guides her through it all, even the path she knows so well.
Of all that's in her life, her fear and strength alike.
She knows that through His love, she'll finally reach the light.
