A Poem by Brette Medb

Derogatory remarks are all that leave your blackened lips,
Vindictive to the very core of your being.
I will not allow you to expurgate my words,
It will not eradicate the tempest of emotionsI have created.
Your scrupulousness is tied to the here and now
And cannot reach the edges of my imagination.
I wish not to cause revolutions,
But instead aspire to inspire those who once thought
Their thoughts and their words meant and mean nothing.
Words have been used for centuries to rise people from the ashes
And you will not stop prevent others from doing the same.
